What inspired you to work with Equity in Medicine?

I became involved in EDI work through a research project that opened my eyes to how differently physicians and trainees were experiencing medical culture based on their gender, race, etc...and that motivated me to want to reduce the barriers and discriminations faced by my colleagues.
Name a physician leader who inspires you and why?
​
Dr. Gigi Osler, former president of the CMA, because she valued her relationships with people.
​
I would love for people to understand that acknowledging that barriers and discrimination exist for some physicians does not take away from their own achievements, but instead allows everyone to reach their goals.
What is your hope for physicians with respect to EDI in the future?
