What inspired you to work with Equity in Medicine?
I wanted to hang out with super cool doctors that are committed to advancing EDI values in healthcare organizations. These values will benefit all healthcare workers, staff, patients, families and communities.
Name a physician leader who inspires you and why?
The physician leaders that inspire me are the current generation of medical students. They are so courageous, empathetic and compassionate in advocating for EDI competencies so they can better serve patients. I am so proud of their ability to collectively move institutions to embed EDI values in medical schools.
What is your hope for physicians with respect to EDI in the future?
My hope is that EDI simply becomes part of other wise practices in healthcare
